DRB Systems Support Teams Helps Pro Wash Get
After "Power Blip" Disrupts Operation
It was the kind of Saturday that every carwash operator dreams of
-- the skies were clear, the March air brisk, and cars were lined
up deep at
Pro Wash, a popular full-service site in North Hampton, New Hampshire. "We
were unbelievably busy, you couldn't have asked for a better day," recalled
Greg Boyer, the carwash's manager.
Unfortunately, this picture perfect setting suddenly threatened to turn
into one of a carwash operator's worst nightmares. A brief interruption
in Pro Wash's power supply broke the connection between its CarWatch® computer
and tunnel controller, bringing the carwash to a complete halt.
"The power blip lasted only a few seconds, but we couldn't get the
computer and cash register to start talking to each other again," said
Boyer. "CarWatch is very important to our business, especially since
the VIP Club plan that we run with it is so popular with our customers.
Looking at the long line of cars out on our lot that Saturday, we didn't
want to be without CarWatch, so we had to do something fast."
What Boyer did was call the DRB Systems Support Team. They patiently walked
him through the process of reconnecting CarWatch with his tunnel controller.
Within a matter of minutes the cash register and controller were communicating
again, and Pro Wash was cleaning cars.
"We didn't have a single customer drive away. The issue was resolved
so quickly, they barely noticed anything out of the ordinary," said
Boyer. "Thanks to the fast action of the support team, we went on
to have a great day."
This kind of quick and effective response is what the entire five-site
Pro Wash chain has come to expect from the DRB Systems Support Team, according
to Boyer. "We've had nothing but good experiences with your support
team," he said. "Making a quality product is only part of the
story for a supplier. You also have to back up that product with reliable
support, and DRB Systems has done that very well."
