Power Play: New Backup Generator Keeps DRB Systems Support Team Ready To Help At All Times

It’s never "lights out" for the DRB Systems support team, thanks to a state-of-the-art backup power generator installed at our new headquarters. The generator kicks into action whenever there’s an interruption in power at our facility, ensuring that our support team is always ready to provide you with the assistance you need to keep your operation running smoothly.

The backup generator has already been used twice since it was installed under one year ago. This has allowed our dedicated support team to continue its work seamlessly while the main power to the building was restored.

“If you’re an operator needing support services, you don’t want to wait until a power failure on our end is over before you can have your issue resolved,” said Dane Vough, DRB Systems Director of Support Services. “Now, as a result of our new backup generator, you never have to worry about being in this situation.”

Power interruptions are more common in this country than many people realize. According to the U.S. National Lightning Detections Network, the country experiences an average of 100,000 thunderstorms per year, which produce over 20 million strikes of lightning, a leading cause of power failures. In 2004, a study by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory found that the annual cost of power interruptions in the US is $80 billion a year.

Power interruptions may be unavoidable, but thanks to our new generator they don’t have to lead to an interruption in our support services. The DRB Systems Support Team has always provided great “back up” for our products; now they’re receiving some great backup too.
