South East Car Wash Association

Would you like to see what others are doing in the carwash industry? If so, join the SECWA on a tour of carwashes in the Savannah, GA area on Monday, February 15, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided at one of the carwashes and will be catered by Paula Deen’s The Lady & Sons Restaurant. The car washes are as follows:

Car Wash Express

Hinesville, GA
This is a 19-year-old, eight-bay, self-serve that was acquired in 2009 when the owner passed away. It was converted into a “one price” self-serve. They have installed two auto cashiers with gates to allow entrance into the site. The 8 bays and 12 vacs will be unlimited use once the customer pays the entrance price. WashCard with RFID readers allow the Unlimited Wash Pass customers access to this location.

Royal Oak Car Wash

Richmond Hill, GA
This is a full-service carwash built about two years ago. There is a 4/2 bay self-serve right across the street that is 10 years old. The owner, Mel, was new to the industry when he built this location.

Car Wash Express

Pooler, GA
This is the owner’s newest site and includes a five bay self-serve with a touch free automatic and a 125 ft. express conveyor. This is the original Beta site for ICS’s Touch N Clean Self Serve Bay Controllers and their WBC controller. WashCard with RFID technology allows Unlimited Clubs customers to wash 24 hours a day in the touch free bay. Access to the tunnel and bonus bucks can be used in the self-service bays to wash motorcycles or cars. A catered lunch by Paula Deen’s The Lady & Sons Restaurant will be sponsored by Advanced Car Wash Systems with the tent and tables sponsored by Carolina Pride and Washworld.

Hurricane Bay Car Wash

Savannah, GA
This is a beautiful one-year-old express tunnel with two lanes, DRB Systems equipped, and a free vacuum area under a canopy.

Savannah Car Wash and Jiffy Lube

Savannah, GA
This is a premier full-serve carwash that has recently moved its vacuums to the exit area and added an express lane to accommodate ride-thru customers. It is truly a testament to the adaptation of today’s full-serve carwash.

Hurricane Bay Car Wash

Savannah, GA
This is a one-year-old express tunnel with free vacs crammed onto a small lot. It is a nice looking location that is successful despite the small lot.
